Evaluation Of The Ability Of Some Bacterial Species Isolated From UTI To Form Biofilm

Urinary tract infection is one of the most serious infectious disease in world , This study aimed to isolate and diagnose bacteria that cause UTI then evaluate its ability form a biofilm. 100 urine samples were collected for group patients attending Al-Diwaniyah Teaching Hospital, who confirmed have at different ages. The results showed presence bacteria. Escherichia coli proteus spp all samples(100%), while Staphylococcus aureus was found 87% Enterobacter isolated by 67% Pseudomonas aeruginosa 65%. Klebsiella pneumonia 50 % epidermidis Micrococcus spp  each with 30%. Regarding biofilm, two methods used Congo-red agar tube method as follows 64% E.coli, K 66.6% S. formation 41.6% negative rest using 25% for  50% E.coli  aureus. concluded Congo red easy perform interpret, highly sensitive specific.
